"When we recently bought a 1950's Cape Cod, we knew that we would need to make some cosmetic changes and redo the kitchen. However, we had the additional challenge of incorporating many recently inherited antiques in with my more youthful, casual style. We definitely needed a professional!
Annie helped me step by step, from choosing paint colors, molding, and upholstery, to facilitating the production of our window treatments, to placing artwork and furniture. I was most impressed with her interest in using and adapting what we already had, rather than making costly suggestions to purchase more furniture right away.
Our kitchen was a story within itself. When we first began the project, I was six months pregnant, so Annie knew she had a tight deadline and a very anxious client! She kept the project on track and coordinated beautifully with our contractor and cabinet maker. We had a fabulous, elegant kitchen completed a week before our baby boy was born. Annie chose colors, textures and accents that complemented the rest of the house, making what was the Achilles' heel of our home into my favorite room.
Before meeting Annie, I always considered myself a fairly decent designer and swore I'd never hire someone to do what I thought I could do myself. However, after seeing Annie's work, I may never be able to make another decorating decision without calling her first!"
